Cartoon characters aren't real, but John's obsession for one is.

In this story, we get a glimpse of what might happen if Norbert Beaver existed in the world we live in today, in much the same way the toons did in the movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

After three years of show business, Norbert and Daggett Beaver; stars of their hit comedy/reality show The Angry Beavers decide it's time to move deeper into the wild to build a new dam, as far from any people and TV cameras as possible. On the other side of the world, John; a young man dangerously obsessed and in love with Norbert packs up and leaves for the USA with only one thing on his mind; confronting Norbert and satisfying his undying hunger for the beaver.

Beaver Soup is a product of one of the many thoughts that run through my mind in the dark, late hours as I hold my Norbert plushie tight, pleading to a non existant being to please let Norbert be real and to deliver him to me. Beaver Soup is the depressing reality to an unrealistic desire.
